Sara's Cooking & Catering knows that many residents in the Boston, Cambridge & MetroWest areas have special dietary catering preferences and we will go out of our way to accommodate your dietary catering needs.

Pritikin — The Pritikin diet is a low-calorie, low-protein, high-carbohydrate eating plan that recommends a fat intake as low as 10 percent of your daily calories. Developed in the 1970s by Nathan Pritikin, the program is designed to help lower your risk of heart disease, and many of its guidelines have been advocated by the American Heart Association.
Caveman — The caveman diet has many of the same principles as the paleo diet. It’s focused primarily on the consumption of higher quantities of real, unprocessed, non-packaged food that cavemen could have eaten thousands of years ago.
Macrobiotics — A macrobiotic diet (or macrobiotics), is a dietary regimen which involves eating grains as a staple food, supplemented with other foods such as local vegetables, and avoiding the use of highly processed or refined foods and most animal products.
South Beach — The South Beach Diet is a diet plan designed by cardiologist Arthur Agatston and dietician Marie Almon as an alternative to low-fat approaches such as the Ornish Diet and the Pritikin Diet advocated by the American Heart Association in the 1980s.
Atkins — The Atkins diet, officially called the Atkins Nutritional Approach, is a low-carbohydrate diet promoted by Robert Atkins from a research paper he read in The Journal of the American Medical Association published by Alfred W. Pennington, titled "Weight Reduction", published in 1958.
Vegetarian — Vegetarianism is the practice of abstaining from the consumption of meat – red meat, poultry, seafood and the flesh of any other animal; it may also include abstention from by-products of animal slaughter.
Blood Type — The blood type diet is a nutritional diet advocated by Peter J. D'Adamo, outlined in his book Eat Right 4 Your Type. D'Adamo claims that ABO blood type is the most important factor in determining a healthy diet and recommends distinct diets for each blood type.
Vegan — Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, as well as following an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of sentient animals.
Organic — Organic foods are produced using methods of organic farming – with limited modern synthetic inputs such as synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers, though organic pesticides, such as Bt toxin, are still used. Organic foods are also not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents, or chemical food additives.
